The Mobile Application Can’t Connect to the RiCloud Server

Data exchange protocols in the RiDom system

An internet connection is required for the proper operation of the RiDom system. Both the Ri-HUB and the RiDom mobile application communicate with the RiCloud cloud server over the Internet.

All system components transmit and exchange data using the protocols (see interaction diagram):

1. Ri-HUB <–> RiCloud cloud server – RiDom protocol based on TCP.

2. Devices (detectors, actuators) <–> Ri-HUB – Ri-Contact-R protocol.

3. RiDom mobile application <–> RiCloud cloud server – HTTPS protocol.

Configure the router and firewall (if aplicable) of the local site network to ensure access to RiCloud.

Local network router configuration

Make sure the following settings are configured on the site’s local network router:

  1. The router is connected to the Internet.
  2. Access to the RiCloud cloud server must be enabled: cloud.ridom.ru (IP: 84.252.143.151). Incoming and outgoing traffic must be allowed.
  3. The TCP port: 10002 for data transmission from Ri-HUB to RiCloud must be open. Incoming and outgoing traffic must be allowed.
  4. The DHCP server must be configured and operational (automatic IP address assignment within the local network).

Firewall Configuration

If a firewall is used within the local network, the firewall settings must also allow access to:

  1. RiCloud: cloud.ridom.ru (IP: 84.252.143.151). Incoming and outgoing traffic must be allowed.
  2. TCP port: 10002. Incoming and outgoing traffic must be allowed.

No connection between the mobile application and Ri-HUB

When a smartphone running the RiDom mobile application operates via the site’s Wi-Fi network, make sure that port 443 is open on the router or firewall for HTTPS connections.
